People live in each other's shelter

Pity the man who does wrong and is poor as well 

Pity the man who has a stranger's spancel on him. 

Possession makes (for) satisfaction. 

Possession satisfies 

Poverty parts good company 

Poor men take to the sea; the rich to the mountains 

Poverty creates sadness 

Poverty is no shame. 

Practice makes mastery.

Praise the ripe field not the green corn 

Praise the ford when you have crossed it 

Praise the child and you praise the mother. 

Putting the fox to mind the geese 

Put silk on a goat and it is still a goat.

Put a beggar on horseback and he'll ride to hell
